National Workforce Strategy 18th January 2011,  ACELG has been asked by the federal Department of Regional Australia, Regional Development and Local Government to complete work on the draft national local government workforce strategy commissioned by the Local Government and Planning Ministers Council.

This move will enable ACELG to coordinate the strategy with its own Workforce Blueprint. The project will be managed for ACELG by the LGMA National Practice Unit.
