ACELG and LGMA National have released the `National Local Government Indigenous Employment Position Paper - Closing the Gap through Place-based Employment`. This paper aims to encourage and facilitate increased Indigenous workforce participation in local government, and is a response to considerable workforce challenges that lie ahead for the sector. The paper was launched by ACELG Chairperson, The Hon. Margaret Reynolds at the 2nd National Local Government Indigenous Employment Roundtable in Alice Springs in December.
